We wrote this page to be readable. If a defined legal term and its plain-language explanation differ, the legal meaning controls.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the BAAS website located at baas.dev, its related public pages, contact and project-intake forms, promotional experiences, and account features that link to this policy (collectively, the “Site”). “BAAS,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team that operates the Site and provides BAAS custom development services.
This policy does not automatically govern information BAAS processes for a client while delivering contracted development, hosting, integration, support, or other professional services. That information is governed by the applicable client agreement, statement of work, data-processing terms, and the client’s instructions. A third-party website or service linked from the Site is governed by its own privacy notice.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details: name, email address, telephone number, company, role, and similar identifiers.
- Messages and project information: questions, goals, requirements, timing, budget information, workflow descriptions, attachments, and other content you choose to submit.
- Account information: email address, authentication events, account identifiers, workspace information, and role or access information used to provide account features.
- Promotion and referral information: promotional codes, referral details, offer interactions, and information submitted to claim or discuss an offer.
- Communications: records of emails, meetings, support conversations, feedback, and other correspondence with BAAS.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, timestamps, requested URLs, referring pages, error information, and security or diagnostic events.
- Site activity: pages viewed, links used, form and navigation interactions, and general engagement with Site features.
- Cookie and storage identifiers: a guest identifier, authentication cookies when you sign in, and local browser values used for navigation preferences, promotions, or other requested functionality.
We may combine information collected from the Site with information you provide in later communications, information from our service providers, and publicly available professional or business information when reasonably necessary to understand and respond to your request.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card data, government identification numbers, protected health information, or another person’s sensitive information through a general Site form. If a potential project requires regulated or confidential data, contact us first so appropriate contractual and technical safeguards can be established.
3. How we use information
We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:
- operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
- respond to messages, schedule conversations, evaluate potential work, prepare proposals, and provide requested information;
- create and administer accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect restricted areas;
- administer promotions, referral codes, downloads, and other requested experiences;
- understand Site performance, diagnose errors, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect BAAS, visitors, clients, and the public;
- maintain business records, enforce our agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations; and
- send service-related communications and, where permitted and requested, relevant business communications.
Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely as appropriate on your consent, steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure Site, responding to inquiries, and developing our business. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the applicable basis; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: hosting, cloud infrastructure, database, form processing, authentication, communications, security, diagnostics, and professional advisers that process information for us under appropriate restrictions.
- Business and project collaborators: contractors or specialists supporting BAAS operations or a requested engagement, subject to confidentiality and access controls appropriate to their role.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; enforce terms or agreements; investigate abuse; or protect rights, safety, property, and system integrity.
- Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
- At your direction: when you ask us to connect with or provide information to another person or service.
We do not permit service providers to use Site personal information for their own independent marketing merely because they process it for BAAS.
6. Sale and targeted advertising
BAAS does not knowingly sell personal information for money, and as the Site is presently configured, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising. We also do not knowingly use personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, health care, or access to essential services.
If these practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law. Where legally required, we will also recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to respond to a message, evaluate or perform work, maintain an account, administer an offer, protect the Site, keep appropriate business and tax records, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations.
Retention depends on the nature of the information and our relationship with you. An unanswered inquiry may be kept long enough for reasonable follow-up; client and transaction records may be kept for the duration of the relationship and applicable legal or limitation periods; authentication and security records may be kept for periods appropriate to fraud prevention and system integrity. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten through ordinary backup cycles. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it until deletion is practicable.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information in light of its nature and the risks involved. Measures may include access controls, secure authentication, encrypted transport, least-privilege practices, vendor review, monitoring, backups, and procedures for addressing security incidents.
No transmission, storage system, or security measure is guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for using a secure device and network, protecting access links and account credentials, and notifying us promptly if you believe an account or communication has been compromised.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of a sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling if we engage in those activities; and
- appeal a decision on a privacy request and exercise rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.
To make a request, email info@baas.dev with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate responsive records. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authority and direct identity verification. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
You may opt out of non-essential business emails by using any unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us. Service, security, transactional, and direct responses to your request are not marketing messages.
10. U.S. state privacy notices
This section supplements the rest of the policy for residents of states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws. The categories below describe information we may have collected through the Site during the preceding 12 months. Whether a particular law applies to BAAS or a particular request depends on statutory thresholds, exemptions, and context.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site for the purpose of inferring characteristics. We do not knowingly sell these categories or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose categories only as described in Section 5. Privacy rights and request methods are described in Section 9.
California residents may also request information about certain disclosures for direct marketing under California’s “Shine the Light” law. BAAS does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing as contemplated by that law.
11. International visitors
BAAS is based in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, we use an appropriate legal basis or safeguard. Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may have the rights described in Section 9 and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address the concern directly.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business users and a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Users under the age of majority where they live should use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
13. Third-party services and links
The Site may link to social networks, client websites, external resources, embedded media, or other third-party services. Following a link or interacting with a third-party service may allow that provider to collect information under its own terms and privacy policy. BAAS does not control and is not responsible for third-party privacy, security, content, or availability.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Site, our practices, or applicable requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
